A feast for the eyes for cycling lovers
All 36 types of cyclists are lovingly painted with watercolor and ink. From cargo bikes to miniature circus bikes to racing bikes, there is room for everything. They now compete against each other in six categories such as transport capacity and speed.
Many of the pictures are drawn from real people:
Of course with their consent. Thanks to all of you at this point and also all the information about your beloved bikes.
I met Pauli on Lake Garda in 2022 after we both crossed the Alps as solo women. Me on my two-wheeler and she ON THE UNICYCLE! The wow factor of 10 is deserved, right? You can find her on Instagram at @einrad_pauli .
Philipp is a good friend of mine and cycled with a friend from the North Cape to Istanbul in 2020. You can still find her blog at www.offtherails.de
At the design festival in spring 2024, Onur provided me with the coffee bike and made a delicious matcha latte. You can find her on Instagram @coffeebike_ma or here: www.tekinarslan.de
Tim has been almost blind since a bicycle accident and has been racing on a tandem ever since. He reports about it on Instagram @tim_kleinwaechter_renntandem and is always looking for co-pilots.
Max accompanied me on a trip to Croatia for a week in the summer of 2024. He has an owl on the flag because I originally wanted to go to Athens on the trip (bringing owls to Athens and stuff).
You can find Nadja on her mountain bike in the Taunus near Oberursel in summer. You can find her on Insta under @nadja_unterwegs .
Feli loves more than anything his wife (one of my best friends), his daughter (my godchild) and his cargo bike (which is why he drove his wife to the registry office on it).
Michael rides this cool handbike adapter thing with his wheelchair. I know him through a garage painting client and have learned a lot of new things from him.
Christel is also an artist and on the board of the Landenhausen Cultural Association, where we exhibited together in the same barn during the art walk.
Antoine is a former student of mine. He rides BMX, loves graffiti and takes really, really good photos.
And this? This is me on my first bike. 🙂
Thanks...
... to Max for critically questioning all values and the positive “two cents” you gave. Thanks to the lovely people from Mued who auditioned again. Thanks to my family for looking over the cards on the first prototype. Thanks to all the people who provided me with their photos and provided me with information. Thanks also to various people from pedal boat or trolley manufacturers who gave me values that I couldn't find on the Internet. And of course a big thank you to Dörte Balschun from MeinSpiel, who always looks after the printing and production of my games so well.
